Ukazał się numer specjalny czasopisma Drugs: Education, Prevention & Policy. Jego redaktorami i redaktorką są Michał Wanke, Sveinung Sandberg, Ruken Macit i Hakan Gülerce. Wydanie zatytułowane, Cannabis: Cultures and Markets jest efektem dwuletniej pracy w ramach projektu Partnerstw Strategicznych Erasmus+, DAPY (Drug Abuse Prevention for Youth) i zgromadziło prace na temat kultur użytkowników cannabis i rynków tej popularnej substancji psychoaktywnej, uwikłanej w dynamiczne zmiany kulturowe, społeczne, polityczne i prawne. Do wydania przyjęto 11 tekstów (z ponad 40 zgłoszonych) autorek i autorów z Łotwy, Polski, Nigerii, Norwegii, Szwecji, Meksyku, Kanady, Stanów Zjednoczonych, Australii i Nowej Zelandii i dotyczy przemian stygmatyzacji, procesów normalizacji, trwania subkultur i światów społecznych wobec zróżnicowanych zmian w prawie i postawach społecznych wobec marihuany.
Dr Michał Wanke jest socjologiem pracującym w Katedrze Nauk o Kulturze i Religii UO; prof. Sveinung Sandberg jest socjologiem zatrudnionym w Katedrze Kryminologii Uniwersytetu Oslo w Norwegii, a dr Ruken Macit oraz dr Hakan Gülerce pracują w Katedrze Socjologii Uniwersytetu Harran w Turcji.

A special issue of an international journal on drugs guest edited by a UO sociologist
A special issue of Drugs: Education Prevention & Policy joirnal is published edited by Michał Wanke, Sveinung Sandberg, Ruken Macit, and Hakan Gülerce. The issue is entitled Cannabis: Cultures and Markets and concludes two years’ work under the umbrella of Strategic Partnership Erasmus+ project DAPY (Drug Abuse Prevention for Youth). It gathered works on the subject of cannabis users’ cultures and markets of this popular psychoactive substance that has been involved in dynamic cultural, social, political and legal changes. Eleven papers (out of several dozen submissions) were accepted, written by authors originating from Latvia, Poland, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden, Mexico, Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand. It covers transformations of stigmatization, normalization processes, lasting subcultures or social worlds amid differentiated shifts in law or social attitudes towards marijuana.
Dr. Michał Wanke is a sociologist working at the Department of Cultural Studies of the University of Opole; Professor Sveinung Sandberg is a sociologist at the Department of Criminology of Oslo University in Norway, and dr. Ruken Macit together with dr. Hakan Gülerce works at the Department of Sociology of Harran University in Turkey.
